The Global March has one major objective in mind and that is to put an end to violence of all kind in this world. As more and more countries join the Global March it is going to become one major event.  The coordinator of the MARCHA MUNDIAL ECUADOR, Marlon Obando expects great support for this humanist movement. There are several initiatives that have been taken for the MARCHA MUNDIAL ECUADOR. The proposal is to rid the world of all kinds of violence from the world.

• When did the MARCHA MUNDIAL ECUADOR initiative start?

The MARCHA MUNDIAL began in New Zealand on 2 October and has been building up as the days go by as more and more countries tend to join it. Now, it has a goal of getting more than 90 countries to join it.

• Any special reason why the 2 of October was chosen for the MARCHA MUNDIAL to begin?

This day has great significance as it is the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi who was a great follower of non-violence. This day is of great importance as the United Nations has declared this day as the International Day of Non Violence. This is being followed since quite a few years.

• How many people are you expecting in the MARCHA MUNDIAL ECUADOR ?
  The MARCHA MUNDIAL ECUADOR wants to be able to aspire to get more than one million people. The people are invited in each country to participate in this one of a kind March.
  
  
• When does the MARCHA MUNDIAL ECUADOR - World March arrive in Ecuador?
  The MARCHA MUNDIAL ECUADOR arrives on Thursday at the Rumichaca bridge in Tulcan. Here, there will be a representative of the flags who takes the March ahead from here.

It came from Colombia. The Colombian team who delivers the post in Ecuador will be represented by singer Juanes, who will give the flag to the representative of Ecuador, Juan Fernando Velasco.

What are the preparations being made in Ecuador for the MARCHA MUNDIAL ECUADOR?
In Tulcán, in Ecuador there are going to be several tons of cultural and arts festivals that are going to be organized to attract a huge crowd. In Quito, there will be a march held right up to the city center. There will be a karaoke for peace and then there will be several interesting talks held.
